    Considering the need for an answer to more sophisticated and in-depth questions and researches about Islamic Sciences, and to confront the severe attacks on Isamic Beliefs and Culture, the Policy Council of Imam Khomeini Institute for Education and Research, as a Howzeh-based foundation, have made it possible for knwoledge seekers to study the Humanities based on Islamic Sciences at the level of M. A.

    The curriculum is approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. The applicants of these courses should have B. A. in Islamic Sciences and be ready to enter the field of Islamic Science Production.

    Introduction to M. A. Courses

    Analytical History of Islam

     

    Necessities:

    • Deepening the understanding of Islam in the present time;
    • Knowing the causes of the ups and downs of Islamic Movements and the course of political and social thoughts in Islamic World;
    • Familiarizing and knowing the History of Islamic Civilization and Culture;
    • Knowing the conduct of the Prophet (s) and Imam Ali (a);
    • And answering the questions related to the History of Islam;

     

    Objectives:

    • To explain Islam scientifically and methodically from the historical perspective;
    • To introduce Islam as an influential and exalting phenomenon in the history of human civilization;
    • To recognize the factors influencing the ups and downs of Islamic Movements;
    • To contribute to the development and promotion of the culture of pure Islam of Muhammad (a);

    The duration of M. A. courses including compensatory credits is 2 years, each of which consists of two semesters, and the lessons are offered in credits. For each lesson, in addition to its text, students are required to provide one of the activities of mass reading, classroom research, or seminar (by the choice of teachers and the Academic Council of the University). This course is offered virtually and does not consist a thesis, but requires a final research instead.

    Analytical History of Shi'ism

     

    Necessities:

    • Deepening the understanding of Islam in the present time;

    Necessities:

    • Deepening the understanding of Islam in the present time;
    • Introducing Qur’an as the main miracle of the Holy Prophet of Islam (s);
    • Knowing and promoting Qur'anic Teachings, Islam and Shi’a;

    Objectives:

    • To answer the questions related to the field of Qur'anic Sciences;
    • To grow world Muslims' awareness of the teachings of Qur'an;
    • To promote different fields of humanities with Islamic and local views;
    • To promote and educate pure Islamic and Qur'anic Teachings worldwide, indiscriminately inside and outside the country;

    Necessities:

    • Understanding the political thoughts in Islam, especially in Qur'an and tradition; understanding the thoughts of Islamic philosophers, scholars and jurists;
    • Its tremendous impact on the growth and guidance of the society towards perfection;
    • Settling and managing the affairs of the society and its individuals;

     

    Objectives:

    • To understand the political thought and conduct of the Prophet (s) and the Infallible (a);
    • To educate researchers in this field of study, and also train specialists and faculty members for universities and higher education centers in this field.
    • To develop and promote the society’s awareness of politics, political philosophy, political thought, and practical government in Islam.
